Children, families and young people are really important to us. What they bring and receive is central to St Michael’s mission.

Children’s Church

We want parents to feel relaxed and confident to bring their children into church, especially during the 9.30am service on a Sunday morning. Age-specific children’s groups run alongside this service in term time. Children attending these groups are brought back into church at 10.15am to join the service for Holy Communion.

Pre-school children may go with a parent or carer to Climbers in the Parish Centre (at the east end of the churchyard). This group is structured by song, movement, story and prayer. For more information please contact Rebecca Anderson

Explorers is for infants-aged children and meets in St Michael’s school building adjacent to the church. This group offers an emphasis on fun with a base of Christian nurture. For more information please contact Jo Fabian Tel: 01727 752365

Seekers is for school years 3-7 inclusive and also meets in St Michael’s school. Seekers combines Bible reading, prayers and developing an understanding of New Testament stories and the life of Jesus. This is followed by fun activities such as art, crafts, etc. For more information please contact Pauline Wiley Tel: 01727 868532

Once a month, usually on the second Sunday, there is an All Age Communion at 9.30am when everyone meets in church together.
