Children, families and young people are really important to us. What they bring and receive is central to St Michael’s mission.

Children’s Church

We want parents to feel relaxed and   confident in bringing their children to St Michael’s, especially during the 9.30am service on a Sunday morning. Books, soft toys and worksheets specific to the readings of the day are provided in the north aisle for those who wish to stay in church with their children.

Explorers is for infants-aged children and meets in St Michael’s school building adjacent to the church. This group offers an emphasis on fun with a base of Christian nurture. For more information please contact Jo Fabian Tel: 01727 752365

Seekers is for school years 3-7 inclusive and also meets in St Michael’s school. Seekers combines Bible reading, prayers and developing an understanding of New Testament stories and the life of Jesus. This is followed by fun activities such as art, crafts, etc. For more information please contact Pauline Wiley Tel: 01727 868532

Once a month, usually on the second Sunday, there is an All Age Communion at 9.30am when everyone meets in church together.

Serving

Our main services are enhanced by servers (ages eight and above) who assist the clergy ‘up front’.

Young Adults

Two social, prayer and discussion groups for young people, one for school years 7-9 and another for years 10-13, meet roughly once a month in families’ homes. More info from Jenny Tarvet.
