Applications are invited for the above position which becomes vacant in September 2017 following the appointment of the current Organ Scholar to Hampton Court Palace.

This Organ Scholarship supports the training and development of a young person (16 -20 years of age) in the skills of a church musician.

Duties will include playing the organ for all (or part) of at least two services per month, attending associated rehearsals, and conducting the choir (where appropriate).

A Bursary (currently £200 a term) will be paid which is intended to be used for the purchase of music, attending relevant courses, and subsidising the cost of organ lessons. Free use of the St Michael’s organ for personal practice is given.

This is a one-year renewable appointment.
