St Mary’s church (AL3 6JJ) is 150 years old! As we mark this milestone of Christian witness and service, a number of special events will be running throughout 2017 which aim to celebrate this unique community and the role of the church within it.
The church will be open 10am – 5pm throughout the bank holiday weekend for visitors to the flower festival. Free entry. Refreshments available.

As part of our mission to be inwardly vibrant and outwardly open, St Mary’s wants to improve the church and schoolroom as resources for the whole community. At present St Mary’s has an old external toilet. Funds generated from events during our anniversary year will be earmarked for modern, accessible, internal facilities.
Mindful of our many blessings, ten per cent of funds raised will be donated to Toilet Twinning which provides clean water, basic sanitation, and hygiene education to communities in the developing world.
Donations can be made by cheque to ‘St Michael’s PCC’ via The Parish Office, The Vicarage, St Michael’s Street, St Albans, AL3 4SL, or on our Just Giving page.
Whether giving online or by cheque please state clearly that you want your donation to support St Mary’s anniversary project.
